General Terms and Conditions for Fair-repair

Welcome to Fair-repair. These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Conditions") describe the rules for using the Fair-repair website and services (hereinafter "Platform"). By visiting and using our Platform, you unconditionally agree to these Conditions.
1. Definitions
- Platform: The fair-repair.be website and all associated content and functionalities.
- User: Any person who visits or uses the Platform.
- Provider: An independent third party (repairer) listed on the Platform and offering repair services.
- Services: The functionalities offered by the Platform, including providing information about and connecting with Providers, and offering informative guides and articles.
2. Nature of the Services
Fair-repair is a neutral information platform. Our mission is to help Users find information about and Providers for the repair of electronic devices.
IMPORTANT: Fair-repair acts solely as an intermediary. We are not a party to any agreement concluded between a User and a Provider. The execution, quality, price and warranty of a repair are the full and exclusive responsibility of the respective Provider. Fair-repair does not offer any repair services itself and cannot be held responsible for the services provided by Providers.
3. Use of the Platform
As a User, you agree to:
- Use the Platform only for legitimate purposes.
- Not perform any acts that may disrupt the functioning of the Platform, such as introducing viruses or carrying out attacks.
- Not copy, reproduce or distribute the content of the Platform without our express written permission.
4. Content and Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including texts, logos, images, guides and the general design, is the exclusive property of Fair-repair or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property rights.
The "Do It Yourself" (DIY) repair guides and other informative articles are offered purely for information. Following these guides is at your own risk. Fair-repair is not liable for any damage to devices or personal injury that could result from attempting to perform the steps described in these guides.
5. Providers and Third Parties
The Platform contains links to websites and contact details of independent Providers. Fair-repair has no control over and is not responsible for the content, services, prices or privacy policy of these third parties.
Any appointment, communication or transaction between a User and a Provider is an agreement exclusively between those two parties. Fair-repair gives no guarantees regarding the professionalism, quality or reliability of the Providers on the Platform. Although we strive for an accurate and up-to-date list, we advise Users to exercise due diligence before engaging the services of a Provider.
6. Limitation of Liability
The use of the Platform is entirely at your own risk. Fair-repair, its founders and employees can under no circumstances be held liable for:
- Any direct or indirect damage (financial or otherwise) resulting from the use of the Platform.
- Disputes, damages or problems arising from an agreement or interaction between a User and a Provider.
- Damage to personal property resulting from following the DIY guides.
- Inaccuracies or incompleteness in the information provided on the Platform or on the websites of Providers.
7. Privacy
We attach great value to your privacy. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Conditions.
8. Changes to the Conditions
Fair-repair reserves the right to change these Conditions at any time. The most recent version of the Conditions is always available on the Platform. By continuing to use the Platform after a change, you accept the new Conditions.
9. Applicable Law and Competent Court
These Conditions are governed exclusively by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, only the courts of the district of Brussels are competent.
